Over a year in the making, Skablime is the culmination of pure artistic talent and vision. Forgoing any preconceived notions of traditional Western pop music, the artists behind Skablime have forged an incredible work of art, one that will touch upon just about every possible emotion one can have. "We just had to do it," says co-mastermind Seamus. "Sometimes you feel something in your heart, a drive, a passion, that's begging to leap out and show itself to the world. We had that. We also had the same feelings from our brains, because we're really smart and also sexy." Skablime is not an album to take lightly. Take your time with it. Set aside an hour or so, withdraw yourself from the distractions of the modern world, and marinate in the beauty.

This album has become more relevant the more time goes on, although I know that's not what Sean or the rest of the band were hoping for. If not for subject matter, the sound continues to grow on me heavy. The textures and melodies across the album are so unique to AJJ, and are presented in a way that only this band could really pull off. uglymormon
